In 2009, I was involved in the TEA Party movement giving speeches at events across the country. At the time, Democrats tried saying that the events were being funded by the insurance companies and big pharma because we sought to stop the Obamacare legislation that was written in secret, not debated on C-SPAN as promised, and nobody in Congress was willing to even read the bill. At one event, I remember jokingly asking the crowd where we could pick up our checks from the insurance lobbyists; to thunderous laughter. Nobody in attendance was getting paid, and as it turned out those insurance companies were actually the ones who wrote the Obamacare bill in the first place; which is why we got stuck with an individual mandate.

While at these events, we were often met with counter protesters from the SEIU. These folks would show up in enormous numbers all wearing their purple SEIU t-shirts, arriving in a caravan of buses. At one event outside of South Bend, organized in a whirlwind because President Obama was visiting a factory across the street, police set up a makeshift chain-link fence barricade between the SEIU and ourselves. Many of the TEA Party activists were carrying concealed firearms and they didn't want things to get out of control. My friend and (KTracy.com contributor) Travis Gearhart decided to venture near the fence, hoping to get photos of liberals foaming at the mouth. Instead, we were met by some really friendly people who had no idea what they were doing there. "I'm just hear for the paycheck," one woman said to Travis after he asked her a couple questions about union politics, as he was keen to do back then. I have to admit, that was the one and only time I ever felt like I joined the wrong side. I was jealous of those easy paychecks.

A dozen and a couple of years lataer, I wrote an article explaining why the wealthy Republican elite don't pay protesters the same way progressives do. That article lays out pretty well what progressive millionaire and billionaire activists are doing and how they're paying for an army of professional protesters adventuring around the world on their dime. One weekend, they'll be protesting for the right to murder babies in the womb mere moments before (and sometimes even after) birth in Washington, DC. The next they'll be in Copenhagen at a climate protest. After that, outside a Donald Trump rally because the Don and his cronies are actually immoral pigs with barely a Christian bone in their body.

Pro-HAMAS Rallies, too!

Apparently, those paid protesters include extremely anti-Semetic activists at pro-HAMAS among their ranks according to a new article over at The Free Press.

This explains why so many people were willing to suspend reason after the horrific terrorist attacks by HAMAS in Israel and somehow blame the war and fighting on the Israelis. It's a lot easier to abandon your morals when you're being paid a small fortune stand somewhere and hold a sign: maybe chant a slogan or two and threaten to wipe Israel off the face of the map...

Surely there will be some interesting conversations at the Thanksgiving dinner.
