Kevin Tracy's Analog Art

A pencil portrait of Rachel and her reflection

"Rachel's Reflection" (2010)

Materials: 4H, 2H, 2B, & 5B Pencils on 11x17 printer paper

Looking to test his skills by drawing reflections, Kevin Tracy drew this 11x17 portrait of Propaganda Minister Rachel DeLonge using a simple art pencil set he had laying around.

"Rachel's Reflection" is currently on display in Rachel's private collection, and was last loaned to the Kevin Tracy Museum of Art and Photography in 2012.

Kevin Tracy created this statue, named Gauge, out of wire with a wood and aluminum base.

"Gauge" (2009)

Materials: Aluminum Wire, Aluminum Sheeting, OSB Plywood

In 2005, while bored out of his mind waiting for his security clearance to be authorized, Kevin Tracy created several small "Paperclip Men". Using several paperclips, Kevin would construct 5 or 6 inch tall figures using nothing but paperclips. It was an idea he really enjoyed, but never had a chance to revisit. It wasn't until 2009 when Kevin was in a college Art Appreciation Class (find Kevin Tracy's college papers from this class here), that an opportunity to do this project came up. An assignment of the class was to create a piece of art and share it with the class. Although Kevin has more experience drawing and painting, he instead chose to create "Gauge" instead.

"Gauge" was received with a tremendous amount of fanfare at Purdue University North Central (now Purdue University Northwest). Kevin Tracy was approached by the school about creating an exhibition; which he ultimately turned down because he was financially broke in college and laser-focused on graduating as quickly as possible. From 2009 until 2021, Gauge was kept in the shade garden in his mother's fantasy-inspired shade garden in a small northern Indiana town. In 2021, a storm caused a large tree branch to fall on Gauge, causing catastrophic damage that could not be repaired.

Pumpkin carvings of the Kevin and Al characters from The MSPaint Comic webcomic

"Kevin & Al Pumpkins" (October 30, 2006)

Materials: 2x Pumpkins, 2x tea candles

In 2006, The MSPaint Comic webcomic was at its peak popularity, and Kevin Tracy celebrated his creating by carving two characters from the comic. Al at the time was the Chief of Staff of KTracy.com. As typically happens with pumpkins, they began rotting and were thrown away after Halloween.

These American pumpkins were sourced from Coulter's Produce in Westville, IN. Getting pumpkins from here is a family tradition for the Tracy family.
